Cyberbullying is when one threatens or harasses another using digital communication, such as posting messages on internet sites, sending text messages and emails, and sending instant messages. Bullying is no longer limited to the schoolyard or the playground.

Bullying and harassment can take place around the clock via electronic technology. It is this twenty-four hour a day possibility for tormenting and harassing that makes cyberbullying so destructive.

According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), online violence, cyberbullying and digital harassment affect over 70% of young people globally. People are growing concerned about fake news, cyberbullying and hate speech. By joining our campaign, you can help increase awareness in your community and beyond to about this destructive problem.

How to participate
You can participate in our campaign by posting a comment below or creating a brief video on the seriousness of cyberbullying and the positive effects of writing encouraging comments online.
Video messages should be limited to 40 seconds in length.
Please shoot the video in landscape format (hold your smartphone horizontally).
You can email a link to your video if you have posted it to YouTube or other video sharing site, or email the video file to :
